This document is part of the 360 tours project Toolkit developed by Canada's Oil Sands Innovation Alliance (COSIA) led by Cenovus Energy Inc., in collaboration with Natural Resources Canada. The ultimate goal of the 360 tours project is to improve accessibility to forest restoration knowledge for individuals that are unable to be in the field.

This document introduces new restoration technologies, such as amphibious excavators, that could make it possible to avoid winter operations and complete restoration in the summer and fall months. It acknowledges the benefits of the new technology, as well as limitations and key takeaways. It can be found on their 360 tours site, which includes a silviculture toolkit containing videos, factsheets, guidebooks, and practical tips. In addition, the site includes virtual tours of previously restored sites.
