The Pan-Canadian Approach has identified a set of six "priority" species at risk for collaborative action: barren ground caribou; caribou, boreal population; greater sage grouse; Peary caribou; woodland caribou, southern mountain population; and woods bison. This storymap website outlines how these priority species are conserved and recovered in Canada and how various levels of governments and Indigenous partners collaborate in this work. It provides a thorough description of each species, the conservation agreements that are in place, and what Canadians can do to help recover species at risk.
