This video is a recording of a webinar where[ Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation](https://www.acfn.com/) (ACFN) and[ Mikisew Cree First Nation](https://www.mikisewcree.ca/) (MCFN) presented about their plan for protecting, restoring, and actively managing tâdzié/ sagow atihk (boreal woodland caribou) in their homelands. The[ ](https://www.acfn.com/_files/ugd/75b7f5_c1236f1c4def4a0cb54a92d54895f5cb.pdf)[Tâdzié-Sagow Atihk Stewardship Plan](https://www.cclmportal.ca/resource/acfn-mcfn-tadzie-sagow-atihk-stewardship-plan) upholds and respects the inherent rights of ACFN and MCFN to steward values and resources within their homelands in northeastern Alberta and meets federal range planning requirements, thereby adhering to Dené, Cree, and Canadian law. Lori Cyprien (ACFN) and Sebastien Fekete (MCFN), shared the ambitious goals of their plan, how they developed it, and the ways it supports multiple values on the landscape. After their presentation, the presenters were joined by Brian Fung (ACFN), Lindsay Wong (MCFN), and Susan Leech from Firelight Group to participate in a panel discussion taking questions from the audience.
