About
Julie has a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Guelph and a MSc in Geography with specialization in Remote Sensing from the University of Calgary. She joined the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing, a division of Natural Resources Canada, as a physical scientist in June 2019. She is currently working on multiple work packages under the Earth Observation for Cumulative Effects Program and assists with the development of regional lichen maps for caribou habitat monitoring and modeling. Julie has a passion for open data and AI, community engagement, and citizen science. She strives to make her work impactful, accessible, and inclusive.
