This 3-day hands-on course is designed for natural resource professionals looking to develop their expertise in wetland assessments and delineation. Bridging the gap between fundamentals and advances practice, it will equip you with the skills required to confidently evaluate and report on boreal wetlands.

Classroom: Applied fundamentals of boreal wetland assessments

May 29 & 30 (8:30 to 5 pm)

Field: Classification and delineation

Locations: Wagner Natural Area and Clyde Fen Natural Area

*Transportation responsibility of participants

 

Course Highlights:

Practical Hands-on Activities - Gain direct experience with ABWRETs, WAIFs and WAIRs through desktop and field exercises

Interdisciplinary - Refine your ability to identify landscape, soil, water quality and vegetation wetland indicators

Case Studies - Learn from real wetland assessments and management scenarios

- Wetland assessment datasheets and field references (vascular and non-vascular plants)
