  • Overview of peat extraction steps for horticultural substrates
  • Demonstration of the moss layer transfer technique
  • Visit to restored sites and analysis of success trajectories

 Lunch: Parc Nature de Pointe-aux-Outardes

Afternoon

  • Presentation of peat extraction through acrotelm harvesting (MAC)
  • Discussion on reference sites and their comparison with the trajectories of restored post-industrial sites
  • Discussion on different revegetation techniques

 What to bring: Lunch, tall rubber boots and weather-appropriate clothing.
