Alberta Environment and Protected Areas (EPA) has published the update to the Conservation and Reclamation Directive for Renewable Energy Operations, released August 4, 2026.
The Conservation and Reclamation Directive for Renewable Energy Operations contains the information needed to complete a registration with EPA for a wind and solar renewable energy operation and all required reporting for the life span of the operation.
The updated Directive has been re-organized to improve readability and includes requirements from the Code of Practice for Solar and Wind Renewable Energy Operations which were not present in the previous version.
