Air Quality in the Peace River-Three Creeks Area: Monitoring a success story

Speakers: Michael Bisaga and Lily Lin with the Peace River Area Monitoring Program

This webinar presentation will provide a brief summary of the Peace River Area Monitoring Program’s (PRAMP) history and evolution, air quality monitoring network, and key results. A special focus will be on PRAMP’s monitoring data that show the marked decrease in the ambient concentration of hydrocarbons. These monitoring data will also be presented alongside key industrial performance indicators for the region including flaring and venting from the upstream oil and gas industry. PRAMP’s evolving air monitoring presence in the area will also be discussed along with plans for the future.

Michael Bisaga and Lily Lin oversee the day-to-day operations, quality assurance and control, reporting, and data analysis for PRAMP’s air quality monitoring activities. PRAMP is one of 10 Airsheds monitoring and reporting on air quality throughout the Province of Alberta.
