This webinar presentation is focused on revisions made to the proposed Anthroposolic soil Order classification in a recently published paper that Konstantin Dlusskiy co-authored.  The original classification was proposed in 2012 and was field-tested for multiple years.  After a discussion among soil scientists across Canada, the classification was revised and proposed to be included in the upcoming 4th edition of the Canadian System of Soil Classification.  The key revisions include addition of new subgroups, rectification of great group definitions and modified approach to contaminants in the human-altered soils.

Konstantin Dlusskiy is a Soil Scientist with over fifteen years of environmental consulting experience and additional 10 years of international research experience working with multidisciplinary teams of professionals. He is highly skilled in soil classification and soil assessments for land suitability rating as well as in land reclamation monitoring and assessment. In the last six years Konstantin taught multiple courses for various post-secondary education institutions. Recently Konstantin joined the team of scientists developing the classification of human-altered soils and published a research paper on the proposed Anthroposolic Soil Order.
