Pedology Field School

This field-study based course led by Dr. Konstantin Dlusskiy focus­es on field diag­nos­tics of soil prop­er­ties and process­es; soil descrip­tions, clas­si­fi­ca­tion, and map­ping; soil sur­vey pro­ce­dures; descrip­tion of soil pits and land­scapes; and hands-on field expe­ri­ence with appli­ca­tion to indus­try stan­dards. Manda­to­ry field work is required to col­lect sam­ples and data for fur­ther review in class.  Pri­or knowl­edge of soil for­ma­tion and clas­si­fi­ca­tion is expected.  This field work class requires you to bring per­son­al pro­tec­tion equip­ment (PPE).  Open for registration until May 5, 2022.
