SOIL 410: Soil Classification Course

This advanced soil science course led by Dr. Konstantin Dlusskiy focuses on:
• Common landforms and parent materials associated with soils in Prairies
• Soil drainage classes and soil moisture regimes
• Soils of the ten Soil Orders in the Canadian System of Soil Classification
• Classification of human-modified soils
• Classification of soils to the Subgroup level
• Relation of soil forming processes and factors of soil formation to the genesis of corresponding soils

Prior knowledge of soil science at the introductory level is strongly recommended.
