ABMI Blog: Using ABMI Data to Drive Conservation Decisions

NCC uses ABMI data

Conservation dollars are finite, so we aim to maximize our impact for both nature and people. One of the most valuable resources Nature Conservancy Canada has for making these decisions in Alberta is the spatial data provided by the Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute (ABMI). The ABMI’s datasets, including human footprint mapping, wetland inventories, and biodiversity indicators like species intactness, allow us to prioritize our conservation efforts effectively.
