Catchment Delineation Seminar

Description: The Catchment Delineation seminar will provide professionals in engineering, agriculture, GIS, forestry, biology, and surveying with the skills and knowledge needed to have confidence in their catchment delineations based on their specific use. This course discusses considerations when delineating a catchment, tools used, and case studies of different catchments delineated using two different types of applications.

Objectives:

  • Understand the fundamental principles of catchment delineation.
  • Explore the hierarchy of catchments from large watersheds to small wetlands.
  • Learn to identify and delineate catchment boundaries using mapping tools.
  • Apply knowledge through real-world case studies and examples.

Course Modules:

1. Definitions & Hierarchy:
Introduction to catchments and watersheds.
Understanding catchment hierarchy: From watersheds to wetlands.
