Lecture 10: Ecohydrological connectivity – What do we know and what’s next?
Genevieve Ali is an Associate Professor in the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of Guelph since January 2019. Before that, she spent six years at the University of Manitoba as an Assistant/Associate professor and as the co-holder of a provincially-funded research chair in watershed systems. With her focus on sites that span a continuum of scales and human impact, Genevieve’s research touches on both basic and applied science questions about runoff generation processes and their implications for water quality and land and water management. Her main contributions are articulated around the comparison of theories, field methods, and numerical modeling approaches to study connectivity, i.e., water, sediment, nutrient and biota fluxes within watersheds.
