Online webinar Series
Canada
MarshWatch – Newfoundland and Labrador edition is a free 8-week program focused on learning wetland birds and amphibians by sight and sound. The content is suitable for all skill levels and everyone is welcome!
Webinars will slowly build your identification skills without being overwhelming. The ultimate goal is to give you the skills to confidently submit checklists when visiting wetlands of your choosing. Webinar content will include identification tips for common wetland bird and amphibian species found in Newfoundland and Labrador and details about where in the province they are most likely to be found. Species covered in the Newfoundland edition of MarshWatch will overlap with those found in other regions and anyone is welcome to tune in, however there are also Prairies, Maritimes, and Great Lakes versions of the program that may be a better fit if you live in those regions.
Live webinars will take place every Monday evening starting February 2 and run for 8 weeks (excepting March 16 – St. Patrick’s Day holiday), ending March 30. Each webinar will be recorded and posted online by the following Friday, so you can always catch up or review content.
