Test your riparian health and plant ID knowledge with Cows and Fish!
Register to spend July 13th and 14th with Cows and Fish staff to improve your understanding of riparian ecology and management. Both sessions are designed for those working in agricultural or conservation extension, or others in related professions who need to have a better understanding of riparian health and ecology.
We will be using a variety of riparian sites to advance your knowledge of both riparian health and plant ID. Each day will have a different focus:
July 13: Streams and Small Rivers
July 14: Wetlands and Lakes
Both training sessions will be conducted in the Peace Region. Registrants will be provided with the exact locations at a later date.
Attendance for these sessions is free to those working in education, extension, or other not-for-profit organizations. For those working in a for-profit sector, attendance will cost $150.00 per session.
* The field days will be outside, and will be held RAIN OR SHINE, so please be prepared for all weather. Helpful items to bring include a clipboard, pencil, notebook, hat and sunscreen, bug spray, rain gear, plant ID guides. Please bring your own lunch and snacks, and enough water for the day. Being in a field setting, there will be no washrooms available.
