Event title: Webinar of SER Asia Network: Success Stories of Peatland Restoration in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia Location: Online Description: RePeat (Rehabilitation of Peatland) is a voluntary replanting initiative in the Forest for Specific Purposes Tumbang Nusa, Central Kalimantan, to restore burnt peat swamp forests. It has involved a wide range of stakeholders, including students, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), private companies, and local governments, and has raised awareness of the importance of peatland restoration among younger generations. The webinar will discuss best practices for peatland restoration in Central Kalimantan, as well as the main challenges and factors that contribute to the success of peatland restoration in Indonesia.
