The B.C. Wildlife Federation’s Wetlands Education Program is returning this November for the Wetlands Institute: Virtual Speaker Series! This year’s theme is “Secret Wonders of Wetlands,” and will delve into the little-seen life of the beaver, the ubiquitous world of bryophytes (moss!), and the delightful night-lives of bats. Together, these three s pecies make up some of the vital building-blocks of wetland health and ecology.

Did you know that bats are the world’s only flying mammal, and wetlands are important habitats for bats? On November 22 nd at 7pm PST, Follow along as the wonderful Dr. Cori Lausen explores the secretive life of bats in B.C. and provides tips on how wetland conservation crosses paths with bat conservation.
