This document is part of the 360 tours project Toolkit developed by Canada's Oil Sands Innovation Alliance (COSIA) led by Cenovus Energy Inc., in collaboration with Natural Resources Canada. The ultimate goal of the 360 tours project is to improve accessibility to forest restoration knowledge for individuals that are unable to be in the field.
This document is part two of two of a blog series called "Sowing the Seeds of Success" created by COSIA's blog team. The team interviewed experienced nursery and reclamation professionals in Alberta to identify key tips for choosing the correct planting stock, in addition to essential considerations while planning. It can be found on their 360 tours site, which includes a silviculture toolkit containing videos, factsheets, guidebooks, and practical tips. In addition, the site includes virtual tours of previously restored sites.
