This report describes a comprehensive, meaningful and cost-effective list of indicators of forest ecosystem function, including a description of how they might be used to assess reclamation success. The indicators were compiled from a workshop conducted in December 2005, at the University of British Columbia.

The report begins with a table  summarizing three Criteria and nineteen indicators that were derived from the workshop. This table is designed as the main reference source for those
interested in establishing a monitoring program. Detailed information on each indicator is contained within a series of appendices to the report.
