This brochure encompasses current knowledge stemming from research in genomics and climate change as it relates to the 2 Billion Trees Program. This knowledge is presented based on an integrated approach that is part of a broader context with the intent of making it accessible to organizations and stakeholders involved in this vast plan. The main topics are genomics and its use in the fight against climate change, as well as the integrated approach to climate change adaptation. This last topic is divided into several sections: The right tree in the right place for the right use; Diversified seeds; Phytosanitary monitoring; Genetic diversity for climate change adaptation and The right species adapted to climate stressors. Finally, a brief overview of ongoing and future research is presented.
