This presentation provides an overview of methods for delineating wetland boundaries using a three-factor approach, which involves indicators of hydrophytic vegetation, hydric soil, and wetland hydrology. The methods were initially established in the 1980’s and became mandatory for use across the United States. The application of these methods in Alberta based on 10 years of field testing will be reviewed.
