The Indigenous Knowledge Circle of the National Boreal Caribou Knowledge Consortium invites you to hear Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation (ACFN) and Mikisew Cree First Nation (MCFN) present about their plan for protecting, restoring, and actively managing tâdzié/ sagow atihk (boreal woodland caribou) in their homelands. The Tâdzié-Sagow Atihk Stewardship Plan upholds and respects the inherent rights of ACFN and MCFN to steward values and resources within their homelands in northeastern Alberta and meets federal range planning requirements, thereby adhering to Dené, Cree, and Canadian law. Join Lori Cyprien and Brian Fung (ACFN), and Sebastien Fekete (MCFN) along with Susan Leech from Firelight Group as they share the ambitious goals of their plan, how they developed it, and the ways it supports multiple values on the landscape.

The webinar will be held on Zoom and will consist of a presentation followed by a panel discussion where audience members may ask questions.
