British Columbia extends wolf cull for additional five years in an effort to support caribou recovery

The British Columbia government has extended its wolf cull by another five years in an effort to help recover dwindling caribou populations in the province. The cull was implemented in 2015 to reduce wolf densities in caribou habitat, and has since resulted in over 1,400 wolves being culled. An estimated 200 to 300 wolves will be killed annually through this program.
