Caribou breeding program expected to start soon in Jasper National Park

Jasper's caribou herds have seen dramatic declines in recent years, with the Maligne herd deemed to be extirpated in 2018. ​Parks Canada is planning to start capturing caribou at the end of March for its breeding program, with the goal of restoring herds in Jasper National Park.
