This report was prepared to facilitate the use of scientific and common names of insects and mites dealt with by the forestry community of Ontario and includes most of the species recorded by the Forest Health Unit over the past 60 years. Insects and mites are arranged alphabetically by genus and species. Information provided for each entry includes order, family name, common name, host plant or insect type and a rating of current importance.
