This is the second in a series of three Information Reports on white spruce that are based on the lifetime of work and passion of the late Dr. Roy F. Sutton from the Canadian Forest Service, Great Lakes Forestry Centre. The historical review brings together a vast amount of information about white spruce. It is also a testament to Dr. Sutton’s long and dedicated efforts. The second report includes a comprehensive review of white spruce botanical characteristics, growth and development, reproduction, and required growing conditions.
