The Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute (ABMI) is a global leader in biodiversity monitoring. From border to border, the ABMI monitors and reports on the status and trends of Alberta’s species, habitat, and human footprint. To demonstrate the use of biodiversity data in environmental management and land-use decisions, the ABMI has an active research and development program. This set of presentations will introduce you to the wide range of research topics currently being undertaken by the ABMI. Speakers present the state-of-the-science and discuss the implications for Alberta’s land-use managers and policy makers. These presentations were part of the ABMI 1st Annual Speaker Series Forum - Better Environmental Management Through Monitoring held at the Royal Alberta Museum, Edmonton, Canada on October 23, 2013. The event was moderated by CBC's Peter Brown.

On October 23, 2013 the Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute hosted a forum in Edmonton called Better Environmental Management Through Monitoring.

In order to share the range of information presented at the forum, ABMI has produced a series of videos of presentations.  These videos are:
