This infographic by Sunny Tseng describes the key results from a paper by Tracy McKay and Dr. Laura Finnegan. Deer, elk, and moose are apparent competitors for caribou because they draw predators. Harvesting in caribou ranges can amplify this effect. We related wildlife occupancy and co-occurrence to harvest block characteristics and investigated how to dampen this effect.
