At the 2012 conference for the Alberta Institute of Agrologists, Dr. William Shotyk gave the keynote presentation entitled There must be something in the water: Natural variations and human impacts on water quality on Alberta.  Dr. Shotyk, Bocock Chair in Agriculture and the Environment at the University of Alberta, discussed the state of Alberta's water, its natural variations and the challenges facing water in the province. 

The 8th Annual Banff Conference for the Alberta Institute of Agrologists was held in April 2012. The year's conference theme was Water: What is the risk? Agriculture, energy and urban end use.
