Video - Avoidance of Roads by Forest Dwelling Caribou and the Relation to Disturbance Intensity

At the 14th North American Caribou Workshop, held in September 2012, Mathieu Leblond presented on research related to caribou and road avoidance behaviour. 53 collared caribou were monitored over a 7-year period. Results indicate that road avoidance is positively related to disturbance intensity. Mathieu Leblond is from the University of Quebec in Rimouski.
