At the 14th North American Caribou Workshop held in September 2012, Nick Larter presented on research related to identifying calving events amongst the boreal caribou in the Dehcho region. Data from 193 calving events were compared relative to location, length and timing of calving from year to year, consistency of timing and fidelity to calving sites. Nicholas Larter is Regional Biologist with the Government of the Northwest Territories.
